My name is Lizzie and I am a PhD student at the University of Hull researching women and their interaction with the world around them through their collections in the English country house during the eighteenth century. Alongside this, I love art, Jane Austen, baking and costume drama. This blog is a way for me to share the interesting stories from my research, as well as tales from other areas of art, history, literature and travel, and I hope you enjoy it.
